It's not about winning Blog of the Year. It's about giving back to the community. It would be nice to win the trophy though but the real winners are the readers and the voters and even if I don't win, the votes are still going to be donated to SMARTER. The reasons for me choosing SMARTER Brunei is simple. Firstly it's coinciding with Autism Awareness Month. I think most of people are not aware of SMARTER and their objectives and missions. Anak Brunei has been supporting SMARTER since last year and he pioneered this where bloggers can contribute to charitable foundations. I salute him for his intention and his passionate drive for such thing.

Secondly, SMARTER Brunei are still lagging behind in terms of financial support and there were in a verge of a rundown because of lacking in funds. So we need to remind the public how important their existence is in Brunei Darussalam.

Thirdly, I've never seen such a dedicated person as Malai Hj Abdullah, the President of SMARTER Brunei. He believed in himself that this road can be achieved and he's been a very busy man especially this month. I admire his strength and this is one reason why I hand this opportunity to him for a good cause.

Yes, this is a first step for myself and I want to see where I can assist again in other charitable foundations that are struggling and PAPDA is one of them. So let's stay on a positive note and let's give each other a helping hand and bloggers have a very good influence and we need them for their support as well. I may not be perfect but I'm in the learning process so do forgive me for my shortcomings and if I have offended any of you, it's not my intention to do so.
