Yes, I occasionally fall into this category where I couldn't get my Speedlite 580EX-II to fire from my body. This is when Mr. Handyman (Zamri Zainal) comes to the picture to help me out to fix the Speedlite Hotshoe and he has done it twice for me. The problem with my Speedlite is that it's not as tight whenever it's being fixed on my 50D. Ah well.. Maybe I need to get a new Speedlite again, aye?

Anyway, I want to share with you on Jan Shim's DIY "Canon Hotshoe Micro Switch Fix". I find this post very useful especially for Canon users and who knows it might just work on others.
