DIY PCs making a trend. I have always wanted to make my own computer with my own specs but I've never came around it. I recently met up with an old friend Toby who's an avid Winning Eleven player and he once joined my tournament a few years ago.

Now he has set up his own business in line with his passion which is assembling computers from scratch. I was quite amazed that he could actually make a CPU unit with in an hour. I suppose it's not that difficult since it's just installing the components into the framework. Then again, I'm not that high tech when it comes to computers.

Toby claims that he will be able to suit the budget of the customer and even below $1,000 for a desktop and a monitor. So why don't you drop by PCM Computer Sales & Repair (same block with Dream Cones, Kiulap) or you can call 223 3330.

They also sell RAM memory

Rano: How did it all begin? Your business.
Toby: I am looking for the PC Customization market for 5 years time, not in Brunei, especially in HK and Singapore. Computer technology in HK or Singapore is actually more advance than Brunei. A lot of the PC end users are mostly build up there PC by their own.
So it made me more confident to set up a PC Customization Centre or PC Hardware Store in Brunei to let our people to develop their PC knowledge and not only stick to the "branded PC" which to me is not really worth to purchase.
Some more, the performance does not really match with the price tag. I noticed a lot of my customers who is the same boat (with me) need to find PC hardware in Brunei but there is not such of the Computer Shop in Brunei which is selling the item that we really want. So I hope and wish to let the Brunei consumer who can find any PC hardware in Brunei rather than in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Rano: Why do you think this module will work in brunei? Is there a target market?
Toby: Because this is the time to let our local consumers to think about other new and updated knowledge regarding about the PC (Customization) and especially those people who really on a tight budget and under their requirements.

Rano: How long does it take for you to assemble a unit?
3) Hardware installation less than an hour (not included OS/Software/Game Installation).

Rano: What do consumers look for in a desktop? Performance? Graphics? Work related?
Toby: All.

Rano: What's the best spec PC that is available at your shop?
Toby: Intel i7 920 CPU, Magic Pro MP-X58 Extreme, Palit GTX285 2GB PCIE DDR3 VGA Card, OCZ DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 Urban Elite Edition 4GB, Western Digital Green Power 1.5TB Hard Disk, Magic Pro MP-500CR 60-in-1 Card Reader, LiteOn BluRay Rom + DVD Writer, iCute Titanium Series 1050W Power Supply, Cooler Master Cosmos-S 1100 Full Tower Gaming Case, OCZ Alchemy Illuminati Gaming Keyboard (UI), OCZ Behemoth Gaming Mouse, BenQ G2412HD Full HD 1080P 16:1 40000:1 2ms 24" LCD Monitor.

Rano: I think data recovery is useful for many end users. Tell me more about this feature. Can one retrieve all deleted files? or even corrupted ones?
Toby: We do recovery accidentally formatted or deleted data and not Hard Disk failure. Some more is not 100% recovered but almost 80%, need to depend the software which I am going to use.
